Tom Bilyeu – This is the weirdest thing that any of us have lived through, and there are plenty of reasons to hate this time. ⁣

But if you build a regimen of joy that could only be accomplished at a time when you literally can’t go anywhere, you can make the most of this time. ⁣My list is by no means the end-all-be-all list. It’s just something to get you started. ⁣It will vary depending on your circumstances, but there is always something you can do to step outside of your usual routine and do some fun shit. ⁣

  1. Allocate former commute time to something selfish & joyful
  2. Crush some bodyweight exercises
  3. Set fine goals – watch top 10 films, learn a new language, learn a new skill
  4. Create a family competition – board games, cards, video games, whatever!
  5. Video call people you love but haven’t spoken to in ages
  6. Brighten someone’s day – every day!

Iglika – So, in case you are not feeling all creative and are not in the mood for designing anything, there are still things you can do that will help your business during the time you are staying at home.⁣

  1. Update your portfolio⁣: Yes, I actually updated my portfolio last week. I still have potential clients who demand to see a PDF version of my portfolio. The last time I updated mine was 2017, so I took the time to do just that. ⁣
  2. Clean up emails⁣: Ugh, if you are like me- having 4 different emails or more, then you might have postponed organizing and deleting unnecessary emails for a while. This task will leave you satisfied with yourself and you will be able to find everything again! ⁣
  3. Organize your design files⁣: I am super guilty of not keeping my stuff organized. I have closed some design projects with some super hyper messy folders and I definitely need to take time now to organize everything!
  4. Audit your business⁣: Take time to analyze how your business is performing. Who’s your top client? Can you improve any of the processes? Do you need to hire someone to help you with something you are not good at? ( tax advisor, marketing person?)

Zander – 4 Tips to Working from Home⁣

I’m going to be sharing 4 UX/UI and remote tips in carousels for the foreseeable future! ⁣ With global travel restrictions, you won’t be seeing me in any swinging chairs or treehouses for a while! ⁣These tips are designed to be fun, digestible and an open forum so please share your tips in the comments for others to learn! ⁣ Thanks and stay safe⁣

  1. Active: Avoid waking up and whaking open your laptop. Try to grab some active time before working. It’s unhealthy jumping straight into work from sleep
  2. Hot desk: Kitchen counter, coffee table, or desk be sure to refresh your workspace either daily or throughout the day. New spaces will keep you inspired and mobile
  3. Tiny tasks: Focus on breaking up tasks into their tiniest forms. This will keep you motivated and help you accurately estimate your workload. As well as to-do lists estimate these tasks into hours
  4. 25 Minute bursts: With zero office distractions, you’ll notice a spike in productivity. Try working in 25-minute bursts, with 5-minute breaks. Check out Pomodoro technique for inspo
